Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! We had a great time celebrating Jesus's birthday!

Meet Jolly, the elf. He comes to our house every year around Christmas time. Each morning we have to search for him in a new hiding spot! He likes to watch us and report back to Santa on our behavior! Ha! Luckily, we were all pretty good this year!

Thank you so much for all the wonderful presents!

The Big Christmas Musical

Both boys have been practicing since the end of Sept. for the big Christmas Musical! Trevor's best friend, Cade, asked Trevor to join him and be in the musical. Trev loved it, so we started attending the practices. About 3 weeks later, the director asked if Ty would like to join them all on stage...Ty knew all the songs and dance moves from watching Trevor! SO, both boys are now following in their grandfathers' footsteps and love performing!

Trevor auditioned and got a singing part in the musical! He was fantastic!

Tyson also did a great job! Often he was facing the wrong way, pointing with the wrong hand, playing air guitar or drums with the band, or making goofy faces...but, seriously, isn't that what you want to see at a Christmas play? Ha! He was quite the shinning star who stole the show!

Here are my the superstars after the musical!

The Barnett Clan Pt.1

Pop and Caroline

Cheryl and Michael are expecting a new little Barnett near the end of May!

Mamie, Caroline, and Moose strike a pose for the camera. Caroline wants down and is ready for some action! She is a busy girl on the go! "Please, enough with the cameras! You all are worse than the paparazzi , " Caroline thinks to herself!

Grandma and Grandpa Barnett (aka Poppy and LaLa) enjoyed seeing their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at our gathering! They presented us each a with beautiful, painted, hand carved bird that Grandpa had made. What a special gift! Thank you so much!

My Guys!

My beautiful boys! Seriously, could he be any cuter? Look at those cheeks! What a sweetie! My baby is growing up too fast! We still can't figure out who he looks like or where he came from! What a blessing he is to our family!

My sweet, smart, wonderful son, Trevor! He is so tall now! Look at those incredible big blue eyes! He is so handsome and has such a tender heart! He is my right hand man! He has become quite a good piano player these days! We are so proud of him. He means the world to us...but, especially to Tyson!

Here is my awesome hubby! These pictures were taken in the van as Adam drove me to O'Hare. I flew to Virginia to be with the Barnett side of my family for Thanksgiving. Adam is the best father in the world! I knew they boys would be in good hands while I was gone. I missed them all so much! It's good to be home with my guys! I love them all so deeply! I'm a lucky lady!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Both boys made Indian costumes at school this week and celebrated Thanksgiving with pow-wows and feasts! We have much to be thankful for this year!

Trevor has become a very good reader! Ty loves it when Trevor reads him a bedtime story!

Here are our "cheese-y" attempts at a family photo...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Cats vs. Bulls

Trevor had to go to the asthma/allergist specialist this week. He under went allergy testing as you can see in this picture. Don't let the smile fool you. About 1 min. after this picture was taken he was yelling, "Wipe it off! I'm going to puke!" He is highly allergic to cats, but luckily nothing else. It appears he does have asthma. He had chest x-rays taken yesterday to rule out pneumonia. He's fine, he just need to use inhalers and get over this "wheezing" spell to breathe better. Most kids get a cold and get over it, but when Trev gets a cold it turns into asthma. We're still learning about all this...

Here is Trevor at Jr. Bulls! He loves to play basketball.

Tyson goes along and "copies" the big kids along the side lines!

And that's how you do it! Nice shot, Trev!

Mrs. Becky Visits!

We were so excited that Becky came to stay with us! She was our next door neighbor for 11 years in Madison!

There are people who come and go in your life, and then there are friends that become a part of your life. It warmed my soul to see Becky again! She and her husband, Chris, have seen us through the worst and best times of our lives. We love the Dolsons so much!

The boys were thrilled to get a ride in her "Herbie" car! Who cares how cold it is! We want the top down!

Happy Fall!

On Friday, Trevor's class preformed a cowboy play! Trevor was great! Here he is dancing and singing on stage.

Wii! Happy Birthday to me!

"Thank you for the steering wheels, Moose Moose and Uncle Marc! Someday if we are lucky enough to get a Wii we can use them! ... Wait! You mean you got us a Wii?! Seriously? You got us a Wii! I can't believe it! I'm so happy I think I'm going to cry! I can't believe you got us a Wii! MARIO CART! Ty, we got Mario Cart!!! This is the best day of my life!" said Trevor.

"Watch out, Trev! I'm going to beat you!"

It was at this point, when Adam and I realized that our lives have forever been changed! They no longer needed us around, there was no more fighting, they were entertained for more than 30 min. at a time, Adam and I could leave the room and actually have a conversation, Adam and I could actually get something done without the boys "helping" us... Hmmm, the Wii might be the greatest invention in the world and worth every dime!

Thank you, Pop and Mamie, and Grandma and Grandpa Barnett, for the birthday money that made it possible for us to get a Wii for our birthday present! It is SO awesome! Trevor and Tyson LOVE it and it has made life a little easier around here for mom and dad! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
