Welcome to 1st Grade!

Trevor is in 1st grade! Monday was his first day of school at St. Peter.


Trevor is in Mrs. Scott's 1st grade class.



Class dismissed! They survived their 1st day back! Trevor walked out holding hands with his buddy, Sam. How sweet! It melted my heart!


Trevor and Sam were in kindergarten together. They are really glad to be in the same class again this year!

I thought this pic was funny because you can see all the other fools under "the bean" on the ground!


Ty has become addicted to gum! However, he wasn't sure he liked "mint" flavor! Bubble gum tastes so much better in his opinion!


The guys took their mitts and played catch at the big outdoor area. They have a lot of huge concerts here. Can you see the big speakers above on the posts? The stadium/theater like seats are below the window in front of the grassy field. This place is so enormous! The picture is deceiving.


The Science and Industry Museum had a tent with hands-on experiments for kids. The boys constructed windmills and then they measured the wind speed it produced! It was pretty cool!

Da Bean

This is another weird thing at Millennium Park. I don't remember the actual name of this sculpture, but most people refer to it as "The Bean". Can you see all the people walking under it? It makes a strange mirrored image that is quite fascinating.


It's really cool to take a picture of the bean and get the skyline behind you in the picture.

Millennium Park

We went to Millennium Park in downtown Chicago on Sat. It was really neat, but really weird! Can you see the faces on the water fountain towers? Adam told me the faces are just people that live in Chicago...average citizens like us. The faces would change every few minutes. The kids loved playing in the water. It was a beautiful day to go to the park!


Faces were on both towers. You won't believe what they did next!


Yep, they spit water out of their mouths of course!


I told you it was really weird!

The Art Show

Trevor was a featured artist in an Arlington Heights Art Show! We were so proud of him! His work reminded us of VanGogh! His piece, titled "Three Fruits", is seen between me and Adam.

Bear Olympics

Welcome to the Bear Olympics! The boys created an obstacle course for the bears on their surf boards.

VA continued

The boys did really well traveling for 2 days in the car to and from Virginia! Thank goodness for portable DVD players, Gameboys, juice boxes, and neck pillows! I can't imagine how the pioneers did it!


Watch out for TICKS! Trev and Ty loved exploring in the woods behind Marc and Amy's house, however, the fear of ticks limited the fun! They wore their hats, long pants, boots, and even some of Uncle Marc's HUGE work gloves (not pictured). The boys claim they even saw a snake out there!


Could they be any cuter?!


The guys had a blast playing baseball and golf in the back yard!

On the Troll Side

Welcome to the dark side! Here are the newest members in the black shirt club: Adam, Francy, Andy, and Nana!

Please remember to keep Andy in your prayers as he is serving in Iraq until Christmas time. We are worried about him! He is currently running missions and faces danger daily. God bless our soldiers!



This is Allyssa, Andy and Francy's daughter. She misses her Daddy! She is such a sweet, little girl! She will turn one in Oct.


Scott and Nancy LOVE to have their picture taken. (Not really!) It's nearly impossible to get Scott to cooperate and smile...he's just like one of my boys! Thanks for all the cool Notre Dame stuff and the racing game, Uncle Scott!


The gang went to a minor team game at Wrigley Field last month. They had a fabulous time...eating cotton candy, drinking slushies, chomping popcorn... Trevor even ate an entire bag of peanuts all by himself! Oh yeah, the game was ok, too.

Amazement Square

Lynchburg had this great children's place called Amazement Square. The boys had a blast rolling golf balls down this cool track!


Trevor loved the water table and watching the boats go down the river.


We even did some snowboarding!


We had a a really fun time there!

Dino dung!

We were excited to see Pop and Mamie in Virginia!


Another silly picture, after the nice picture...notice the hands yet again! Ha!


Believe it or not, Pop actually found fossilized dinosaur poop in his yard! Granbury, TX is known for fossils. His surprised the boys with this gift in VA. Trevor didn't believe him. Ty wasn't sure he should be holding it!


Thanks, Pop, for the poop! It will be a really cool show and tell item for many years to come!

2nd Cousin Fun!

While visiting in Virginia, we got together with my cousin, Darla, and her family. The kids are second cousins, but soon turned into best friends! Eva, Luke, Jonah, Trevor and Ty had a blast playing together!



The only way I was able to take the first picture was to let them do a silly picture after the nice picture! Why do kids ALWAYS use their hands whenever you ask them to make a silly face? Ha!



Trevor and Luke had a lot in common...especially their love for ice cream!



Ty, Jonah, and Eva can't wait to play together again at Thanksgiving.
