"Hello, bison!" said Tyson.

On our first day in South Dakota we were greeted by this huge bison on the side of the road! We have seen lots of buffalo (bison), deer, antelope, and horses...and TONS of motorcycles!

We visited the "Mammoth Site". It was a giant sink hole where they have discovered over 50 mammoths! We listened to the tour guide on these telephones.

That evening, we went on a chuck wagon ride and ate dinner with the cowboys! The boys had a great time and sang their little hearts out on the hayride!

These buckaroos are having a good' ol time! See ya later, pardners!

Pirate's Cove

We took the boys to Pirate's Cove this past Sunday. It's a small amusement park near our house for younger kids. Trevor LOVED these hand cranked trains.

The paddle boats were cool!

And the giant slide was fun, too!

They rocked on the rock climbing wall!

The Twins and VBS

It is Tyson's turn for baseball now! He is on a t-ball team called the Twins! He loves it and he is really good! All that practice with Trevor and Dad in the backyard sure paid off! He got a hit each time he was up and LOVED to run the bases! He was so big compared to the other little 4 year olds on his team. Other parents joked that he was ready for the "big leagues"!

Trevor cheered Tyson on at his games! Tyson was so proud to have his big brother there yelling through the fence at him! Adam surprised Tyson yesterday when he showed up at his game. (They play Monday and Wednesday mornings.) Everyone cracked up when Trevor yelled at Ty when he was up, "Come on, Ty! Dad didn't come here for nothing! He didn't come to see you hit! He came to see you SLAM!" ...No pressure or anything... Ha!

Last week the boys attended Vacation Bible School! Tyson was with his best friend, Ellie (in the Bear's shirt beside him). The theme was crocodile dock. One of the helpers let Tyson wear his "Indiana Jones" hat!

They had a great time! Tyson is giving it a thumbs up!

The Brave One

We attended Trevor's award ceremony on Friday night to celebrate his baseball team, the Braves.

His coach hosted the event at the Rolling Green Country Club! We ate pizza, fruit kabobs, and ice cream! One of the parents put together a wonderful DVD of the entire season. The boys loved watching it! There was lots of laughter in the room! Afterward, she gave a copy to each family along with great pictures she had taken of each child!

Trevor was blessed with fantastic coaches! John Aeillo, to the right in the light blue shirt, was his head coach. He took the time to make each child feel so important and special to the team. He presented each player with a trophy and a special achievement award.

He said, "This player really hit his stride in the last game! He hit four balls as hard as anyone hit all season! He was always willing to take one for the team. He had the courage to stay in front of one line drive and took it right off his leg. Trevor, you win the Caution to the Wind award!" In case you can't read the award, it says, "for his willingness to slide at any time and throw his body in front of the line-drives and ground balls!"

Yep, that's our boy! I think the parents are just as sad as the boys that the season is over! Way to go Braves! We are proud of you!

Strawberry Pickin'

We went with several friends to Wisconsin today and picked strawberries! These "city kids" thought it was SO much fun to go to a farm. I think they ate more than they picked! We had a wonderful time! (Trevor and Tyson were the only boys. They didn't seem to mind.)

Trevor liked eating them more than picking them! It was great to just watch them have some good ol' fashion fun! They loved searching for the "big ones" and the "doubles"...and of course the most disgusting, rotten ones. Ha!

We picked lots of baskets full! We all had pink stained fingers and tongues!

Tyson and Ellie will be that old married couple some day... They are best friends this summer.

Cool Dudes

It was so hot last week, we needed to find some fun things to do inside. We made homemade play dough with mom. Ty made his green and Trev made his blue.

The boys were so hot that they took their shirts off to cool down. We're pretty cool now don't you think? Ha!

Ty is trying to chill out and watch Trevor's baseball game.

Here is a pic of my old boyfriend! I can hardly remember Adam without his mustache! He surprised me a few weeks ago when he shaved! He has had a mustache since Tyson was born!

Wild Weekend

Our cousins came to stay with us a few weekends ago! We had a lot of fun! Noah, Livie, Ty, Trev, and Madie are wearing hats they made for our party! They wanted to celebrate winning on Wii video game! We had a dance party too, but I those pictures were blurry and didn't turn out very well because they wouldn't stop moving!

We had an art class!

And a lemonade stand...

and a slumber party with a movie and popcorn!
