25 Random Things about Jill

This is a "Facebook" thing that many people are doing. My sister wanted me to post my list on the blog because even she learned something about me she didn't know! I'll have Adam and the boys work on their list to share with you next!

25 Random Things about Jill:

1. I'm a Christian and I'm grateful.
2. I've been deeply in love with Adam for over 21 years! I've been married to my best friend for over 13 years.
3. Both of my boys are truly medical miracles and precious gifts from God.
4. I talk to my sister at least twice a day, sometimes more. :-)
5. I refuse to eat any and all seafood...because of the eyes...
6. I have dual citizenship. I was born in England.
7. I could eat Mexican food every single day and never get sick of it!
8. My brain is constantly thinking of home improvement projects, renovations, and decorating ideas. I always have a project in the works!
9. I don't know how to dive. I wish I could!
10. I am a great bargain shopper. I can find anything on clearance!
11. I dislike hazelnut or raspberry flavored stuff.
12. Turtlenecks gag me...literally. You will never see me wear one.
13. My family is the most important thing in the world to me. Nothing else really matters.
14. The loss of our triplets changed everything. Not a day goes by that we don't wish we had them back.
15. I have the most profound thoughts and creative ideas when I'm taking a shower or brushing my teeth.
16. I got a 4.0 in college, but I was an average student in high school. I wish I would have tried harder, asked more questions, and cared about school.
17. I'm a clean/organizing/germ freak.
18. I LOVE the beach. I always have!
19. I would much rather eat the cookie dough than the cookies.
20. If I am out of coffee or hairspray, I panic. I need both every single day.
21. I run/walk 5 miles a day on the treadmill. (The health benefits are nice, but the real reason is so I can watch the shows I've tivo-ed or tune out the world and jam on my ipod!)
22. I'm so thankful for the lasik eye surgery I had so that I do not need glasses or contacts anymore!
23. I love to harmonize to songs. In our van, the radio is always on, LOUD, and the kids and I sing our hearts out! Even the kids who carpool with us join in on the fun!
24. I wish I could play a musical instrument REALLY well. If I was forced to be in a talent show, I don't know what I would do! I really don't have any "talent". This bothers me.
25. I love to substitute teach at Tyson's preschool. It reminds me to slow down, laugh at silly things, share with others, take turns, and try your best, even if it seems too hard. It also reminds me that the days are long, but the years are short!

More Before and Afters...

We removed the old mirrored doors from Adam's closet, too.

This was the old door in Trev's room. They didn't match any of the white woodwork throughout the house.

Nice new doors, Baby! Adam and I will be painting them this weekend. They are all primed at least!

We moved the old closet mirrored doors to the boys' rooms! They look so much better in there and the boys can still see themselves when the dress up or make silly faces! AND company doesn't have to see all the smears in my entryway! It really made our old house feel so updated!

Before and After: new doors!

Good bye old 1970's brass/mirror closet doors...that my boys are smudging and gunking up and that I hate to clean every other day!

Hello, new white 6 panels! Yahoo!

Good bye old hollow, cheap doors with dated antique brass knobs...

Hello new door! I love having the lever handle on this door! It's much easier to open as I lug laundry baskets downstairs. I still need to paint the smaller door to the right. They don't make new doors that small. What a huge improvement! Thank you, Grandma Jeanne,
for this AWESOME Christmas gift!!!!

Shut-Ins

When will it ever go away?! Mostly likely in April... It's been too cold to even enjoy playing in the snow. We are all tired of being cooped up inside. Thank goodness for the Wii!

Pop and Mamie came to visit us last weekend! It was so fun! Trevor and Ty did their best to entertain them with magic shows, piano songs, costume and fashion shows, and reading them stories.

Thank you so much for coming to see us in the freezing, cold tundra! We're sorry you had to be shut-ins while you were here!

We miss you already!

We all went sledding at the big hill!

As white as snow...

Looking down our street this morning...

Notice all the sleds in the driveways!

Go Bananas!

Today was sadly the last day of Christmas vacation! To celebrate, we took some family time after church and decided to "Go Bananas!" The kids love this crazy place that has indoor rides and games. They were super excited and had a blast!

All of my boys love to ride the bumper cars!

The dragon roller coaster was also one of their favorites!

What a fun day! Mom is hoping it wiped them out and that they will go to bed early tonight! We are all going to have a hard time getting back in the school/work routine early tomorrow morning!
